Pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About the measures on transformation and support of the civil aviation enterprises" №ПП-5100 from 30.04.2021г., now on the territory of "Uzbekistan Airways Technics" LLC the free customs zone (FCZ) on which application of special customs procedure, granting to foreign participants privileges on payment of customs duties and taxes is provided.

Free replacement of spare parts and units for foreign aircraft arriving for maintenance in "UAT" LLC will be carried out on the territory of the aviation enterprise in the SFZ. This procedure will be carried out according to international legal and technical norms.

Also, the system of permission documents' collection for import of spare parts and aggregates for maintenance of foreign aircrafts in the free customs zone has been simplified.

After creation of a free customs zone in the territory of the aviation enterprise, the first aircraft that crossed the border of the Republic of Uzbekistan and came for maintenance was the Boeing 737-300, the airline "SCAT" (Republic of Kazakhstan), a long time customer of the aviation enterprise. 

Thanks to creation of a free customs zone, the Customer saved time of customs clearance, and the specialists of UAT were able to promptly begin maintenance of the aircraft.

Establishment of a free customs zone in the territory of the LLC "UAT" will solve many social and economic problems in the development of the aviation industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan. In the future, it will give additional advantages to foreign customers who will be serviced in the territory of LLC "UAT" under the simplified customs procedure.
