Today, Uzbekistan's national holiday - Constitution Day - is celebrated in the country annually on December 8. On this day in 1992 at the 11th session of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Uzbekistan the Basic Law of the country - the Constitution of Uzbekistan as an independent sovereign state was unanimously adopted.
