UAT LLC held a seminar dedicated to the introduction of instructions for the mandatory inspection of counterparties

On May 03, 2023 in Uzbekistan Airways Technics LLC, a seminar dedicated to the introduction of instructions for conducting a mandatory counterparty review in UAT LLC was held. The seminar was attended by the employees of the logistics center, commercial department and marketing, advertising and external relations department.

 

The head of the Compliance Control Department of "UAT" LLC - Klichev Umid Valerievich - was the moderator of the seminar. At the beginning of the seminar he said that the instruction was developed in pursuance of the Presidential Decree № 240 of 11.05.2022. "On measures to improve mechanisms to eliminate corruption risks in public administration and increase public participation in this area", as well as according to the Action Plan approved by "Uzbekistan Airways" JSC.

 He also explained that this instruction regulates the procedure for checking counterparties in the implementation of commercial activities in order to avoid conflicts of interest and damage to the interests of UAT LLC.

In particular, according to this instruction, employees of departments involved in public procurement must conscientiously examine all available data on counterparties, and in case of contradictions and shortcomings in the data to report to the management to take measures to prevent unfair participants. As a result of the introduction of the instruction in the activities of the airline company is expected to achieve the following results:

- reduction of corruption risks associated with conflicts of interest and personal interests of the company's employees;

- reducing the risk of entering into a contract with unscrupulous performers;

- assessing the ability of the participant in the procurement process to deliver the goods or services specified in the contract, as well as to perform the work;

- making a decision to conclude a contract with a contractor with due diligence.

The second part of the seminar was devoted to the discussion of the details of counterparty screening by the UAT LLC employees in the form of a "question-and-answer", where the detailed explanations regarding the application of the instruction requirements were given.
