The World Bank has completed consultations on the provision of technical assistance to support the reform of the aviation sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan

The main purpose of the World Bank's activities in Uzbekistan is to assist in improving the standard of living of the population of the Republic. The Bank provides recommendations and financial resources to improve the efficiency of social services and modernize the country's infrastructure.

 

Thus, today the Republic of Uzbekistan and the World Bank (WB) are carrying out effective multifaceted cooperation to achieve effective development, a constructive dialogue is underway that meets both mutual interests and the goals of universal well-being and progress.

Currently, the aviation sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan has received support from the World Bank in the framework of providing advisory services on its reform. «Uzbekistan Airways Technics» LLC became one of the components considered by the World Bank specialists.

In the period from 2020 to 2022, the World Bank team carried out work on providing advisory services for «UAT» LLC.

As part of this advisory service, the modernization of UAT LLC was considered by introducing new software, expanding the scope of its activities, optimizing and reducing operational costs. The recommendations of the World Bank specialists will allow the potential opportunities of UAT LLC to be realized even more, taking into account the rapidly changing situation in the aviation industry.

Upon completion of the work carried out, the World Bank team developed a Business Plan and a Roadmap, the phased implementation of which will allow achieving the set goals.

In addition, a World Bank specialist conducted a seminar aimed at familiarizing with modern software solutions for the provision of repair and maintenance services for Western-made aircraft.
