Exercises on localization and liquidation of the consequences of emergencies on the territory of UAT LLC

On May 31 this year, a tactical and special exercise was held on the territory of LLC "Uzbekistan Airways Technics". The topic of this exercise was "Actions of the management personnel, personnel and civil defense units for the evacuation of the aircraft, localization and elimination of the consequences of emergencies of natural and man-made character (earthquake and fire) in cooperation with the territorial subsystem of the State Emergency Service of Tashkent".

Participants in the exercises: the command-and-control staff of UAT LLC, rescue team, sanitary squad, emergency and technical team, communications unit, public order protection group, engineering reconnaissance unit, firefighting unit, employees of Uzbekistan Airports Handling LLC and territorial services of the State Emergency Service of Tashkent (Emergency Department, State Department of Internal Affairs (road patrol service crews), ambulance crews, National Guard).

The main purpose of the exercise was to practice algorithms of actions in case of emergency situations of natural character. According to the plan of maneuvers, on 31.05.2023 at 10.30 on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan there was a strong earthquake, the strength of earthquakes in Tashkent was 7 points. As a result, there was partial damage to the building structures of hangar box №1 and there was a fire in the paint shop. There are "victims" in the number of 4 people. The gates of the hangar box №1 do not open in the working mode due to a short circuit in the power grid.

 Practical actions of UAT LLC personnel in case of emergency

In the emergency mode, the personnel of the paint shop perform the opening of the casement gates of the hangar box No.1. After the gate is opened, emergency evacuation of the personnel from the hangar box to a safe place is carried out. The head of the paint shop informs the HQ of the Civil Defense and Emergency Situations that it was impossible to evacuate - 4 employees of the shop.

Upon arrival of the tractor, the aircraft is evacuated in an emergency by a team of 7 people from the base maintenance shop.

The airplane is towed to a safe distance along the taxiway toward the parking lots until the "STOP" sign.

Fire suppression, first aid for the injured

The Public Order Protection Team (POP) conducts an internal cordon of the emergency area. After that, they proceed to extinguish the fire and rescue the victims.

Engineering reconnaissance team conducts an inspection of the damaged building. At the command of headquarters, engineering equipment (excavator, truck) with part of the forces of the emergency-technical team carry out work to clear the rubble at the gate of the hangar box.

Rescue team, moving the "victims" on a stretcher and carry to a specially designated place.

 The sanitation squad provides first aid to the "injured" and sends them by ambulance to medical institutions of the city.

At the end of the tactical and special exercise, the commanders of the search and rescue and firefighting teams familiarized the participants with the capabilities of modern special equipment and search and rescue equipment of the Emergency Situations Ministry.

This exercise was aimed at improving the level of civil defense training and improving their response to possible emergencies in the future. The task of the airline company is to ensure the proper operation of equipment and reduce the risk of accidents and incidents.
