On 10.08.2023, Uzbekistan Airways Technics LLC held a seminar on the topic: "Effective implementation of compliance control system to prevent corruption in Uzbekistan Airways Technics LLC". The seminar was attended by heads of structural subdivisions and specialists of UAT LLC. The seminar was moderated by the Head of the Anti-Corruption and Compliance Department Mr. U.V. Klichev.

At the beginning of the seminar Umid Valerievich told that in January 2017 the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Countering Corruption" was adopted, which aims to regulate relations in the field of combating corruption. This law for the first time explains such concepts as corruption and conflict of interest.

Corruption means the unlawful use by a person of his or her official or official position for the purpose of obtaining material or non-material benefit in personal interests or in the interests of other persons, as well as the unlawful provision of such benefit;

Corruption offense - an act possessing the attributes of corruption, for the commission of which the legislation provides for liability;

Conflict of interest - a situation in which personal interest (direct or indirect) affects or may affect the proper performance by a person of official or official duties and in which a contradiction arises or may arise between personal interest and the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, organizations, society or the state.

 

The following issues were covered during the seminar:

- anti-corruption policy;

- basic principles of anti-corruption;

- rules of ethical behavior;

- methodology of corruption risk assessment;

- regulations on conflict-of-interest management;

- main directions of the state policy in the field of combating corruption;

- the main tasks of the National Council on Combating Corruption;

- regulations on receiving and processing messages received through communication channels to inform about corrupt practices;

- instructions on organizing training for employees in the area of anti-corruption;

- instructions on checking counterparties;

 

- instructions on checking candidates for employment;

- methodology for monitoring and controlling the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts;

- regulations on the formation and submission of a report on the state of the anti-corruption system;

- regulations on conducting an internal audit of corruption and ethics violations;

- regulations on public procurement.

 

The second part of the seminar was devoted to the discussion of measures to introduce a rating system for assessing the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts.
